Wine Tabloid

Luxury Stellenbosch vineyard, Waterkloof Wine Estate, owned by British entrepreneur, Paul Boutinot, recently commissioned creative studio Pure Publishing, to design and publish their first ever quarterly custom publication, Waterkloof News.

The newsprint publication, brainchild of Pure Publishing, is a cost-effective solution to the usual high cost associated with glossy magazines. The impetus behind the newsprint publication was to embrace the mantra “own your own media” which PURE have been chanting for years. Subtler than a brochure yet more commercially-driven than a consumer publication, the high quality content and creative speaks to consumers in an engaging and editorial tone, with the clear objective of building customer loyalty and affinity, selling product and increasing bottom line.

Printed on a premium uncoated stock with high-end foil finishes, the magazine-newspaper hybrid will also be made available as a digital edition online, on electronic devices such as the iPad and BlackBerry tablets. The tabloid is conceptualised as “high quality editorial and photography with magazine style layouts into a unique tabloid format.”

Creative Director and founder of PURE, Andrew Burke says, this concept allows brands to own their content and maximise their investment through multiple platforms, from print to digital. With a combined print and digital distribution strategy, the publication will act as a unique marketing vehicle to attract local and international consumers.”

Passionate ambassadors of beautifully presented custom publications and creative, PURE PUBLISHING knows how to strike up a conversation with your customers. Compared to other types of communication, customer publications increase brand loyalty by more than 32% and 57% of consumers read at least half of the publication. (Ref: APA)

Waterkloof News will be available in print and online from 1st September.
