Andrew founded PURE CREATIVE when he spotted a niche in the market for a design and publishing company that embraced a wide variety of media and adapted to the digital realm. He first entered the publishing world as the country’s youngest Art Director for surf/pop culture magazine, BigBlue. This led him to London, where he worked for Bilsland Coltman McKenna, Future Publishing, IPC Media and Times Publishing. Andrew has 26 years of media experience and has long embraced a multidisciplinary approach, being well-versed in the content marketing, design, publishing and digital worlds.

Originally from the KZN Midlands, Tess moved to Cape Town seven years ago. Her love of design led her to move to the city that once held the prestigious title of World Design Capital. For as long as she can remember, art, fashion, editorial design and packaging design has stolen her heart. After studying for three years, Tess graduated from The Red & Yellow School in 2011, majoring in graphic design and art direction. Although she was mainly trained in advertising, she discovered that she had a passion for typography, illustration and editorial layouts, which made design the obvious career path. Tess also has a deep interest in decor and interiors. She now heads up the art department at PURE’s as art director, while also pursuing her passion for all areas of design by heading up PURE products.
