Foodie Friday: Savoy Cabbage

Alit comfortably amongst the busyness of Hout Street, Savoy Cabbage restaurant and champagne bar is a comfortable staple in the fine dining echelons of the CBD. The restaurant alters its menu daily to provide visitors with continually innovative and unique dishes. The creative and contemporary cooking ensures the best recipes are as organic as it is wonderfully unpredictable.

The beautifully adorned restaurant offers a fantastic list of dessert wines to enjoy as you peer over a menu of rare Oak Valley beef sirloin steak, eland loin, and potato Gnocchi – just to name a few. Their dessert menu is just as colourful – how can anyone oppose an old-fashioned coconut and apricot jam tart with honey ice cream, or a chocolate and orange marquise with coffee syrup? If you don’t have much of a sweet tooth, never fear; Savoy Cabbage also offers a South African artisanal cheese board with fig preserve – perfect for something both delicious and subtle to end off a memorable culinary experience.
