Rebranding Interpak Books

Here at PURE, we get terribly excited when it comes to the world of publishing. So, it made a lot of sense that we’d do the rebranding and website for one of South Africa’s oldest and most well respected book publishers, Interpak Books. They have published books by Nobel Prize winner JM Coetzee and crime writers Deon Meyer and Mike Nicol. Interpak are known for their academic and legal textbooks, not to mention their unique luxury diaries and notebooks.

With the exclusive history of the company in mind, we brought to the Interpak logo a more premium look, with a fresh, minimalist feel and a small red book icon. With the website we went for a clean look, making it as visual as possible yet short and sweet. We also focused on ease of communication, offering quick reference features and an easily navigable, clean and contemporary look. This brought forth innovative features like a magnifying tool for the products page, which automatically zooms in when the cursor passes over a product image.

To help Interpak ‘own their own media’, we created the website in CMS, which allows the client to adjust content as needed. We also brought in PR experts HWB Communications to help make sure we were getting the right message across, making sure Interpak’s branding stood out from every angle. That’s just how we do things here at PURE.
