Environ, a global creator of science-backed skincare, has long advocated for a world where healthy skin is the norm — not the exception. In line with this mission, Pure Creative partnered with the brand to conceptualise and roll out a national awareness campaign aimed at reframing how people think about the sun, skin health and cancer prevention.

The result was Know For A Fact — a science-led educational campaign designed to empower the public with evidence-based truths about sun exposure and holistic skin protection.

Objective

Skin cancer remains one of the most preventable yet increasingly common cancers worldwide. Public understanding tends to revolve around SPF alone, overlooking the full spectrum of risks and protective solutions.

The campaign set out to achieve three primary goals:

  • Increase awareness of the dangers of UV exposure, infrared light, and cumulative sun damage.

  • Educate consumers about the scientifically proven role of Vitamin A, antioxidants and SPF in preventing long-term skin health damage.

  • Shift perception and behaviour, positioning sun protection as a daily necessity — not a seasonal choice.

Insight & Strategy

Research revealed that most consumers underestimate the prevalence of skin cancer and view sunscreen as a once-off protective measure rather than part of a comprehensive routine.

Pure Creative developed a content framework built on simple, factual truths — digestible, shareable, memorable statements designed to prompt behavioural change.

The campaign structure revolved around bite-sized evidence-based claims: If you know better — you do better.

Each touchpoint delivered a scientific “fact moment,” transforming passive awareness into actionable understanding.
