In 2017, we see logos going in all sorts of directions. Right and wrong are starting to fall away and it comes down to execution.
Logos are bound to become simpler. Minimalism is a trend we’ve seen coming for a couple of years and one brand that have successfully submitted to this trend is MasterCard. Pentagram rebranded the finance giant to eliminate all typography, leaving only the undeniable two interlocking red and yellow circles.
These days originality stands out more and more. Hand drawn logos are unique and one attaches more emotion to the creation process. A hand drawn logo has a bespoke look and feel and the brand carries the perception of attention to detail and high quality.
Leaving breathing space around logos are key for a minimalist design aesthetic. The logo embodies a modern feel and radiates a strong visioned company.
Consistency is key to keep design sleek and neat.
Revisiting the past and drawing inspiration from past designs are interesting ways to up your creative to the next level.
